Ken Dawson works with individuals facing major financial decisions, particularly as they move into retirement where complexity is increasing and one decision can shape the entire financial picture.

He entered the financial planning profession after a career in education, bringing a perspective shaped by the aftermath of the Great Recession. That period reinforced a reality he still sees today: financial outcomes are often determined less by market conditions than by whether decisions are coordinated, understood, and made within a clear framework. Ken emphasizes clarity and structure, ensuring clients are not just given recommendations but can rely on their plan, especially when conditions are uncertain.

Ken’s work reflects a deep understanding of where financial plans tend to break down—when decisions are disconnected, details are overlooked, or investment portfolios drift away from the objectives they were built to support. His responsibility is to connect planning assumptions with strategies and real-world outcomes, adjusting as circumstances evolve.

In his role, Ken works closely with clients to examine decisions before they become permanent, stress-test scenarios, and adapt as conditions change. Clients experience his work as planning that holds together under pressure and guidance that supports confident, informed decisions over time.

Ken holds a bachelor’s degree in education, with minors in history and political analysis from Miami University. He lives just outside of Cleveland, Ohio, with his two daughters, where he can often be found reading a history book, coaching a team, or watching Cleveland sports.
